简介

Recorded at the Fred Plaut Recording Studio in Sprague Hall at Yale University School of Music, New Haven, Connecticut from 1983-1984. Recording Engineer: Eugene Kimball Steinway D Piano A Note from the Artist: On the occassion of my 50th Birthday, I decided to take stock of what I had accomplished in my professional career. It became apparent that I had, in fact, recorded a great deal of piano repertoire, but nobody really knew about these recordings or had access to them - including myself! My goal was to locate my original Master Recordings, stored at my Parent's home for these past 30 years, have them transferred and restored, and then issue them on CD's and online, as they might have been long ago, had digital and internet technology been available at the time I recorded this beautiful repertoire. And this CD represents only a portion of what I recorded during my time at Yale from 1980-1985! Several classical sonatas have already been re-mastered and re-issued on my CD "The Classical Style". Please keep in mind that this is my artistic work product as a 21- year old Yale University Music student with a limited budget, dealing with the considerable challenges of magnetic tape recording and editing. As a result, there are only a very few splices, which I believe contributes to the authenticity of my performance ability, and which also yields a more coherent musical interpretation. Three of the tracks on this CD also happen to be live recordings from some of my concerts at Yale. I am grateful to Brian Lipsky at SoundLab - CDBaby and my Son, Scott Greene, for their technological expertise and re-mastering of these recordings. As I embark on releasing brand new recordings which I have recently digitally recorded in the 21st century, I felt it would be a good idea to publicly document what I sounded like when I was a "Young Artist". Just as a fine red wine must start with exceptional grapes, I therefore hope that there will be some enjoyment derived from listening to these youthful fruits of my labor! For me, making music was and always will be be a true labor of love and one of the greatest joys in my life, which I hope to share with as many music lovers as possible.
