"SOMEDAY" - Named ALBUM OF THE YEAR by the Washington Area Music Association! (WAMA) Ruthie and the Wranglers are a Washington DC based band and write and play some of the country's best Americana music. With numerous Wammie award winnings and national touring, this band combines, Blues, Country, Jazz, Rockabilly, and Rock and Roll influences to create their own sound they call Rockin' American Roots music! With their 4th CD the Wranglers perform more of what Billboard magazine calls..."nothing short of brilliant" Their high energy, quirky original songs make them anything but typical country. "Ruthie and the Wranglers' "Someday" is clearly the product of many days well spent writing and recording songs -- songs vibrant or clever enough to make most of what passes for country music these days sound dead on arrival." - Washington Post "Relative" facts: Ruthie is a distant cousin of the legendary Jimmie Logsdon, writer of Rockabilly hit "I Got a Rocket in my Pocket." Phil was known for his B-bending "Tele" licks and his unbelievable guitar abilities in many styles from Classical to Country and mastered several instruments.
