Buddy de Franco was one of the first eminent jazzmen who visited Europe after World War 2, bringing the new Bebop-Style to a new, young and frenetic audience as can impressively be heard on the five tracks of this album. People were almost freaking out at Berlin Sportpalast when Buddy and his quartet - consisting of pianist Sonny Clark, drummer Bobby White and bassist Gene Wright - are joining together in one of the most brilliant ensemble playing ever captured during a live performance.
