What Is, What Was by Lordchain contains seven brand new songs, four re-recorded classics (one from each of the band's first four albums), three new recordings of songs left off their 1997 debut and a remixed version of 'Life Aside' which appeared on the 2007 CD 'Finding Balance'. Former Lordchain guitarist/vocalist Cris Brown (now of One Less Reason) reunites with his old bandmates for three amazing songs. Christian metal drummer Chris Hyde (Deliverance; Vengeance Rising) co-wrote a song on this album with drummer/vocalist Kelly Matthews titled 'This Callous Heart'. It is the heaviest Lordchain song to be released on a full length CD from the band. This is a solid album from top to bottom. DON'T MISS IT!
