简介

The song, Legally addresses the de-criminalisation of marijuana in Jamaica. Since 2015, each home in Jamaica is allowed to grow up to five marijuana trees without fear of persecution from the authorities. With a clever wink to the literal letter of the law, October Reign casts his observations on how these laws will affect the small marijuana farmers. While the song celebrates that w**d ‘free up’, it is skeptical that even more restrictions and regulations will be placed on those in the marijuana industry and private citizens alike. Small marijuana farmers will probably buckle under the pressure. October Reign also touches on his connection with growing plants in general. I’ve got a green thumb. Anything I plant it just rise to the sun. Mama teach me dat from I was very, very young. Dean Fraser lends his sultry saxophone grooves that add another dimension to the song. The song is even more grounded with Fraser’s touch. The lyrics speak to the current state of the conversation on marijuana and where Jamaica fits into that landscape
