Late last year, I (Leehahn) dropped a r&b remix track on Soundcloud and Vanjess heard the track. We started talking to each other for a collaboration. Using the remix beat as framework, we've developed the track into an original song adding groove, harmony and smooth melody. Vanjess wrote the lyrics about "not going to be the same" over the beat and recorded the vocals in USA. Vanjess is comprised of Ivana and Jessica Nwokike, an R&B sister duo. Growing up in Nigeria fostered the beginnings of our (Vanjess) love for music and performing. We both participated in school plays and musicals, sang in church, and started songwriting from the minute we could speak. When we moved to America, we continued to pursue music which eventually led us to Youtube in 2009. Through YouTube we were able to share our passion through posting covers. We remember working endlessly after school to post new videos. Eventually when we were 17 and 18 we had our first viral video, our cover of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance had garnered 100,000 views in a day, and caught the attention of Perez Hilton and even Rosie O'Donell. Over the years we continued to ride the wings of YouTube stardom which gained an increase attention across various blogs and websites such as Vibe Magazine, Ryan Seacrest & Essence, musicians like Jcole, and appearances on VH1 and briefly on NBC's The Voice. Our covers across a variety of social media platforms served as an amazing and unexpected launching point for our original music. As of late we have re-leased our debut album "00 till Esape" which unexpectedly charted iTunes top 10. We are now preparing to further our career with a new EP we plan to release this May. After completing Master of Recording Arts at Macquarie University in 2007, I was able to become one of the finalists of USA International Songwriting Competition in 2011. It led me to start my journey as a music producer and I went on to work with artists and companies like Miss Cat of The Voice of China, KBS TV Station (Korea), LHA (Australian Hiphop Duo), Parpunk (Visual Artist), Link6 Label (Korea) and Goontrax (Japanese Jazz Hiphop label). In recently years, I've continued to produce music for various artists such as Snacky Chan on collaboration tracks with Tablo (타블로) from Epik High and Bablyon (바빌론) in Korea and worked on projects with Siew Ooi at 001 Productions (Melbourne) who has made #1 hit songs in Australia. I also have recently appeared at the 2016 Australian KPOP competition as a judge.
