I'm James Dye and I started I Still Dream in 2009. I started out as a vocalist in the hardcore scene in Indiana and played shows in the Midwest with my band. As a solo artist, I released my first EP in 2010 titled "The Ghost." Those songs were an experiment in finding a new sound for myself and consisted of a variety of influences.

Shortly after the EP was released I started recording new material with the intention of releasing a second EP in the future but those plans were put on hold when my dad started to have a lot of health complications. After some issues with his heart he passed away unexpectedly in May of 2016 and I became completely lost. My battle through grief and trauma inspired me to return to music. My new song "Broken" is a reflection of that journey. I hope that my music can somehow inspire others in their own walk through life.
