简介
CEO, and Founder of The Finger Cell Music Group, Phat Fingerz, was born in New York City's Spanish Harlem, (El Barrio), as Felix N. Colon. The music he writes and produces is directly influenced by the R&B, Hip Hop & Salsa forms that predominate his culture and musical landscape; but interweaving or subtly beneath the surface, in a melody line, a chord progression or a riff, you can hear the echo of Pop, Jazz and even a Classical theme. Anyone who's worked with or has been around Fingerz, knows what he calls a "finished project", goes through constant editing, re-arranging and revision. He is meticulous in his efforts to perfect a project. His professional performance and appearance as writer, producer, and artist began in a 1989 Dance Tour under his then stage name, Boyz In The Lab. He toured with friends like Angel Ramirez (the original Barrio Boyzz), Marc Anthony, India, Noel, TKA, The Cover Girls, and others, to promote a movie which featured one of his songs, "Fragile Heart", that he also performed in the film. In 1990, Fingerz wrote & produced his second single, "Nightmares of Tomorrow", through Elis Pacheco's Record Company, which hit the number one Freestyle Classic of the Month chart in Pennsylvania, and became a club hit in New York, and Miami. In 1995, Fingerz released another track for artist Lorenzo D'Lan as writer of "Don't Turn Our Love Away". He also aquired Editor credit for Clear Touch's self-titled CD. In 1996, a Dance Compilation CD was released entitled: 'Dance Transit' which featured his classic club hit, "Nightmares of Tomorrow", selling tens of thousands of units citywide alone. Since then, Phat Fingerz has established his DIGITRAX Recording Studio which has put out all of his latest Reggaeton, and Latin Hip Hop CD's, including "Sextassy Reggae Gold", and "Reggaeton Platinum" two of his biggest non-promoted sellers pushing over 20,000 units, for his Finger Cell Music Group company. Producing artists from Propheta, Judiny, and Kash to L.D.A. He has also completed several movie scripts, and has penned a Reggaeton based screenplay. Now, he's finally released his solo debut album, "A Compilation of One".
