"The airy vocals, massed fuzz guitars and brilliant songwriting combined for a spine-tingling power-pop onslaught that flawlessly melded melodic '60s traditions with energized '70s sophistication." Compiled from a sampling of classic tunes from their first 5 albums as well as a live cut (Hate To Run from the 1981 Shoes On Ice Ep and later added to the domestic CD release of Boomerang), an early, alternate mix from Stolen Wishes (Love Is Like A Bullet) and a track previously released only in Europe (Pieces Of Glass) that was later added to the domestic CD release of Silhouette. This compilation stands as a great sampling of Shoes' first decade and a perfect introduction to Shoes' music for new fans.
