简介
Hi. My name is Jason Burton. I thought I’d tell you a little about myself. I am 30 years old and recently married. I say “recently”, but it’s been a year and a half now. I still can’t believe it. I play music and write songs and travel all over the country singing those songs with my wife, Kristi. She’s from South Dakota, and I met her there while I was on tour. I play guitar and Kristi plays violin. It’s a very interesting combination live. I do music that honors and glorifies my Savior, Jesus Christ. I have been writing music since I was just a boy, and have been playing Christian music for over 10 years now. I just released my newest cd called “The Remnant and the Harlot” in July of this year, 2009. I recorded it here in my home state of Virginia for the most part, but we also cut tracks in Nashville and North Carolina. It’s a mixture of styles and lyrical content. Kristi and I also released, at the same time, a cd called “Almost Live”. It’s more of an acoustic cd with elements of folk, country, bluegrass, and modern music that was recorded here in VA. It contains 10 songs that we have been doing live over the past year and a half of marriage and ministry. I used to be a part of a duo called Belief a few years ago. My sister and I toured and ministered for over 4 years. We actually had 2 songs we put out to Christian radio make it to the top 20 of the charts in 2002. We made many fans and friends during those days that continue to be a part of my life. My sister, Sarah, is married now and lives in Atlanta, GA. I attend Community Christian Fellowship in Petersburg, VA when I am not on the road at other churches. My uncle is my pastor and it’s a non-denominational church founded completely in the Word of God. Most weekends you’ll find Kristi and I traveling and singing. We do this full-time and there’s not a lot of time off. That’s the way we like it for the most part. It gets tiring, and we get road weary at times, but we love ministering and sharing the Lord at the places we’re called to go. My ministry is to call people to holiness, repentance, and share what the Lord can and wants to do in their lives. We have seen many saved at concerts, and I have heard from many over the years with testimonies of what God has done through the music He has allowed me to write and sing. All the glory goes to the One who has forgiven me a thousand times and has worked in my heart to deliver me from the bondage that service to sin brings. That’s my message. A Jason Burton concert consists of lots of original music and stories about life and hopefully a real connection between the audience and me. It’s an intimate time of worship as I truly desire to see the Lord Jesus touch people through the medium He’s given of music. Music can do things that no other form of ministry can do sometimes. I am so thankful He has given me the opportunity to share it with so many. I hope you’ve gotten to know me a little better. God bless you!
