Music in a filmic style, production, soundscapes and composition. The last track on this album is from the film "The Family Berg Experiences", directed by Pål Øie, produced by Jan Aksel Angeltveit for Alligator AS. This film won 1st prize for Best short film at the Amanda film awards 2008. Music was written and produced by Johan Modahl Leiva. Music to picture has always fascinated me, the way music works in conjunction with dialogue and image. It's also interesting how film music establish the mood and tone of a movie, regardless of genre. Strong visual images in combination with dialog, effects and music can have great impact on our emotions, even if we're not always aware of it. These are some of the reasons I studied film music.
