This project started when my friend Phil Cilli got his great grandfathers fiddle restored by the skillful luthier Rob Zelinski in Western Australia. At the same time my other good friend Jeremy Sivewright presented me with a book of ancient Scottish Airs. After a few wee drams of Scotland's finest, we got to work scheming up "The Album". With narration by Alison McKenzie and featuring Jane Morris on low D whistle and Anne Hairsine on monster sounds, this album features some of our favorite tunes from the Western Highlands along with associated tales and anecdotes. We hope you have as much fun listening to it as we had making it, its recommended (though not essential) that you have a wee dram or two in your favorite chair whilst listening in order to fully enjoy the experience.
