简介
With the intention to create community through group singing, Steve Gold travels and sings with his wife Anne-Émilie Gold. The couple’s voices met before they did while singing on retreat with internationally acclaimed chant artists Deva Premal and Miten. Steve and Anne-Émilie have toured extensively with world-renowned yoga teacher Shiva Rea, sharing their music at Yoga Journal conferences, and retreats around the world. Steve has shared the billing with Moby, Krishna Das, Jai Uttal, and prominent yoga teachers Saul David Raye, Mark Whitwell, and with "Radiance Sutras" author, Dr. Lorin Roche. Steve’s music is an enlightened blend of mantras in English and Sanskrit, American spirituals, deeply healing Blues, and devotional songs. Performing at festivals, yoga studios, art spaces and spiritual centers, Steve’s musical satsangs are wonderful occasions for listeners to be nourished with the healing vibrations of the voice, and to celebrate the joy and spirit of singing in community. The Gold’s 2008 CD "So Much Magnificence" is a lush mix of acoustic songs and chants ideal for yoga or relaxation. The music is infused with spirit, beautiful melodies and heart melting harmonies. The title track of the same name is included on Shiva Rea's new CD compilation "Yoga Sol", and instructional DVD "Surf Yoga Soul.” In 2009, Shiva Rea commissioned Steve to remix a song on their album to be used on her new online video trailer “Pranafication.” Released in 2009, their new and inspiring digital EP, Let Your Heart Be Known is a compelling call to live life with authenticity. It contains the sensual remix of Let Your Heart Be Known, and Purna, an uplifting rendition of the Vedic mantra invoking infinite pureness. Testimonials: “I have witnessed rivers of tears flow from people listening to Steve Gold's version of this incredible praise of the ocean."
