简介
The Mike Rossi Project The Mike Rossi Project is the result of a mixed musical life as an artist and educator who has traveled extensively. While born in the U.S., the music on this cd reflects my experiences of living in South Africa for over a decade with frequent travels to the US, throughout Africa, Europe and especially Italy, with my parents (Rossi & Sansonetti) originating from the regions of Benevento and Abruzzo. The music was specifically orchestrated for three horns that include trumpet, trombone and multiple saxophones with a stellar rhythm section with Andrew Ford (piano), Wesley Rustin (bass) and Kesivan Naidoo (drums). The music ranges in style from South African township jazz, to hard bop, to modal, to latin, to contemporary. All the compositions are available through Advance Music www.advancemusic.com I believe the musicians in my group represent the very best of South African jazz talent. I am proud to be associated with such a fine group. I hope you enjoy the music on The Mike Rossi Project: Trespassing Permitted!
