North Carolina emcee, Mallz is back with another EP. This time he teams up with producer, Dr. Khil for “Penstroke Of Genius” - a five-track release featuring Mallz’ powerful lyrics over gritty beats rooted in hard-hitting drums. The menacing lead single, “Khil Shot” opens up the EP and sets the tone immediately. On “The Horns”, the Latin-inspired loop provides the backdrop for Mallz to proclaim that he’s “independent as f**k, making minimal bucks/doing it my way in spite of all you cynical schmucks.” The masterful lyrics continue with “Forty Four”, which leads into the deeply heartfelt, “Enough”. Mallz closes the EP with help from fellow Alpha Male Society member, Don DiGiorgio and Tuscon of the 1100 Hunters on head-nodder, “Show Out”. Mallz continues to put in work and “Penstroke Of Genius” shows that the hard work has definitely paid off.
