简介

A-TOWN RECORDS, the label for aspiring artists out of the mainstream, continues its inroad into Jamaican’s heartland, in search of the next “Jewel in the rough,” the next Reggae star! It did not take Garfield NattyG” Nembhard and Paul “Pablo” Hamilton long before they discovered, among the countless number of aspiring artists, scattered throughout Jamaica, a tower of potential, in twenty year old Kenesha Patterson. Kenesha Patterson, aka K-ISIS, a product of Mandeville, Manchester is sister with a sweet flow, topped off with meaningful lyrics that are sure to capture the attention of the masses; as she trumpets the cause of other less vocal young women, on a rhythm that is truly infectious, A-Town’s New BIG HEIST RIDDIM. “K-ISIS” professes an appreciation for the talent of Bounty Killa, though she admires Tanya Stephens, among others. The single, ONE MAN FI ONE GIRL on the” BIG HEIST RIDDIM” is her first offering and the first track to be voiced on the new Rhythm, speaks to the contradictions in our society. In undertaking their current project, the label sought out the cultural vibes of former Dance Hall singer, Village Roots, and In Da Streetz Recording Artist, ISIAH MENTOR, formerly Lily Melody, for his contribution to the BIG HEIST RIDDIM, he responded with the single “NUBIAN STYLE AH KILL DEM.” This track is a sure pleaser with an uplifting message for the ladies, as only Isiah Mentor can deliver. But with its throttle fully engaged, A-Town voiced another aspiring “first timer” who goes by the two letter pseudonym B. U, aka Kemar Gray, with the single “RUN OUT,” taking his queue from the Tower Hill section of Kingston where he grew up. Pre-promotion of the rhythm caught the attention of European based “KARLIOWLI,” Karl Wilson, who offered the track entitled, “SPREAD LOVE”. KARLIOWLI’s energetic style fits the BIG HEIST RIDDIM, perfectly, plus his lyrics are inspirational. In an effort to be inclusive of the various dynamic or aspect of our Jamaica’s society, but with due restrain, A-Town reached out the next generation of dance hall performers, and is well pleased with the talent of the five new additions to the BIG HEIST project. They include sharwayne Palmer, aka SHADE’ with “NO ESCAPE,” Ricardo Reid, aka “SYCKLE’ with “WE NUH SLEEP AT NIGHT,” St. Matthew Anglin, aka JENDA with “FOOT INNA AIR,” and the dynamic duo of Jermaine Johnson aka CHICKWAK & Sugar-Ray Mathis, aka TERBLE with “PICK HIM.” GN A-Town Records
