Were kicking off the summer 2015 series with a Soulsupplement newcomer Gabux and his latest Ep Make Me Wait. Three deep & techy cuts that some might consider a wee bit different sound from the little label that could however, we think they fit in just right. We get it started with the Ep title track Make Me Wait which lays out the vibe of the entire Ep. The four/four rhythm is straightforward and what you might expect from todays house tracks. With that being said the juicy bits Gabux has layered on top of the rhythm is where things get interesting. The bouncy bass line keeps everything nice and tight which is a good thing because the infectious vocal, key stabs and atmospheric layers might just take you to a whole new place. The original mix of Drummerized is a deeper number and as you might expect from the title, percussion is the name of the game. Multiple layers of percussion are indeed the meat & potatoes of this track, however most of us here at the Soulsupplement compound think the bass line and techy synths that are the true stars of the show. Gabux brings us home with his original mix of Smooth and well the name pretty much says it all. Four on the floor rhythm, along with a moderately techy bass line is contrasted with silky key runs that truly make this one smooth.
