"Miles Away - A Journey Through Life" is the 13th official studio recorded release from 2 time Billboard Music Award Winner, and Memphis IBC semi-finalist, MOTU (Dr Richard Michelson). It is an electric-acoustic rock/roots music journey through life that touches on social and economic themes while asking the deeper questions of the universe. The magic vocal styling's of MOTU and gospel vocalist Dee Chetta are backed with an eclectic combination of electric guitars, acoustic & slide guitars, violin, alto sax, piano, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, electric jazz bass, and drums taking the listener on a musical journey that is both timeless and beautiful. The CD has a line up of some outstanding Long Island-NY musicians; many of whom have performed with very well known artists such as Bo Diddley, James Cotton, Johnny Winter, Watermelon Slim, the Allman Brothers, Dickey Betts, Taylor Dayne, and Cindi Lauper (just to name a few) making the list of performing musicians on this CD yet another representation of some of NY’s best "home grown" talent!
