The Cornell Chordials, founded in 1997, are Cornell University’s premier co-ed a cappella group. They cover a variety of pop/rock artists and are known for their intensity and unique, edgy style. Their album Arrival, released in 2007, was their first receive national recognition and acclaim. Arrival earned the Chordials two Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards for Best Mixed Collegiate Album and Best Mixed Collegiate Arrangement, as well as runner-up for Best Mixed Collegiate Solo. It was also chosen as one of RARB.org’s 2007 album picks of the year (Recorded A Cappella Review Board). “Simply put,” said Elie Landau of RARB.org, “in the co-ed category, this is unquestionably the best CD I've heard so far this year.”
