Idiots on the Miniature Golf Course was originally released on vinyl in 1979 by Snout Records. The band performing the music was then called Zoogz Rift’s Micro Mastodons (with special guest star Richard Häss). The album was reissued by SST Records on vinyl and cassette in 1987.

This digital release includes the following bonus tracks: The Man Who Slugged Your Mother, Would You F-I-B to the FBI? and Ah Peeked in Duh Devil’s Secret Hell Files (the Rift/Williams version). Also, the song titles of Krugerrand 4 and Krugerrand 2 were later changed to Lobotomy 4 and Lobotomy 2, respectively, for the SST reissue.
