Twenty-year-old Madison Cain and twenty-five year old Miles Schon were born into music. With their fathers in the legendary rock band Journey, they grew up together inspired, and with music in their blood. Neal Schon, Miles's father and the guitarist in Journey, and Jonathan Cain, the keyboardist in Journey and Madison's father, have left a great musical impression on both Miles and Madison, with influences including Journey, Heart, Led Zeppelin, Black Crowes, Jimmy Hendrix, and Joni Mitchell. Consequently, it has resulted in their pure, distinctive, vintage sound. Like their fathers, they have continued the second-generation partnership in songwriting and passion in performing together. Growing up in Northern California, Madison performed her first shows at 12 years old with a 17-year-old Miles at wine festivals throughout the California wine country. They continued through their teens performing together up and down the coast with shows for Tony La Russa's ARF Foundation, The Make A Wish Foundation sponsored by Clint Eastwood, and the NAMM show in Nashville and LA. After Madison and her family made the move to Nashville, Miles began making frequent trips to Music City where Miles and Madison found that like their fathers, they had a true musical connection in not only performing, but songwriting. From that point forth, they began writing consistently and recording at Jonathan Cain's studio, Addiction Sound. When they filmed their first music video, covering Jessi J's Big White Room, they saw the purity of their history and brother-sister like relationship appear on camera, and they realized that their story, their history, and their deep musical connection was unique and authentic. Consequently, they made the decision to become a duo known as American Beauty. The members of Journey took note and were thoroughly impressed, proud, and made the decision to give Miles and Madison the opportunity of a lifetime: to open for Journey in Japan; including an iconic sold out show at the Budokan. Miles and Madison finished their self-titled EP, American beauty, which was exclusively released in Japan for the tour and was incredibly well received, exciting Japanese fans and the duo, as they got a real taste of everything they aspire to be. Madison and Miles came from music history, but have plans to make their mark on music with their true talent and sincere passion for music themselves. They stood in the shadows watching their fathers inspire generations and now they plan on shining their own light with music of their own.
