Naomi began writing songs in 1996 when she moved to Chicago from Iowa and stumbled upon FitzGerald’s Tuesday night open mic.She has since released 4 albums and performed all over the Chicago area at venues such as SPACE, Green Mill (as guest of the Uptown Poetry Slam) and The Acorn Theater (in Three Oaks, MI). She is active in Chicago’s literary community collaborating with spoken word artists & musicians alike. In 2010 she conceived of, produced, curated, directed and performed in “OUTBURSTS, A dialogue between visual and audible art” that brought together female songwriters, playwrights, monologists, poets and composers to create works based on the paintings of Chicago/Hungary artist Zsofia Otvos.The show had two more incarnations in 2011.
