简介
Fish Out of Water has been sharing their love and passion for music to people of all ages and ethnicities around the world. Based out of San Diego, CA, this bathrobe toting and funk thumping international act has developed an all original set that typically starts with mellow acoustic material followed by high energy rock, funk, reggae, and hip-hop (RoPhunk RaeHop – pronounced “row-funk-ray-hop”), giving a sound that ranges from Jack Johnson, Sublime, to Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Founding members and cousins, Brandon and Kyle Moon, started the group in 2000, consistently sharing duties on bass and electric guitar as well as vocals. Together, they have completed multiple tours across the U.S., including the Hawaiian Islands, as well as Australia. This is F.O.W.'s fifth album to date and is different from their predecessors mainly because of the many different musicians that contributed. It was 3 years in the making and has 3 different drummers including Mike Turco, Graham Wade, and Stephan Burns who joined near the end of making the album and tours with the group currently. You can find Brandon's brother Kyle J. Moon from Nashville on guitar and friends Conner Mills, Zachery Douglas, and Rick Elliott out of S. Carolina and Virginia on sax and trumpet. Of course, it wouldn't be complete without their main M.C. J-Sneez from the 843 as well as their Ft. Lauderdale, FL connection consisting of Dyllan Thieme on stand-up bass, Stefanie Smerkers on backing vocals, and Nicholas Romanelli on lead electric guitar. Nick was also the head recording engineer and most of the tracks were mixed at his studio, Romanelli Recordings. It was mastered by Adam Matza for Magic Ears Mastering. Previous albums include: RoPhunk RaeHop, Harvest your Thoughts, The Dream, and their first full length acoustic album Heart to Hand (mastered by Grammy-award winning engineer Wyn Davis of Total Access Studios). Socially conscience, F.O.W. strives to use their music to its fullest potential, raising funds and donating their talent in support of such causes as hurricane relief, the Gulf oil disaster, breast cancer, and foster care. They hope their actions will one day inspire the rest of the world to give what you can with what you have. Fish Out of Water commands the senses, moves the masses, and leaves you contemplating love, life, and everything in between.
