Berel Alexander, 28, is an Oakland-based Singer/Songwriter and high-energy front man raised in the rural northern coast of California. Over the past 8 years he has been performing with a potent 5-piece band of drums, bass, keyboards, and cello, with Berel himself on lead vocals and acoustic guitar. With a passion for soulful music of many genres, he enjoys mixing it up to create his own sound, highlighted by his feel good, thoughtful, and affecting lyrics. The band explores aspects of Blues, Soul, Latin, Jazz, Hip- Hop, and Reggae, while Berel’s stylish lyrics seem to imply that hope still has a place in this crazy world. The band’s forthcoming EP of original songs, “All Over It” is set for release on Jan. 20th 2014. The singer/songwriter collaborates with producers around California and has plans to release a number of soon-to-be buzzing projects this year.
