Raul Garcia is back on Plus Plus for our latest release. Martin Zambrano lends a hand as well, but its mostly a solo effort this time around for Raul. On remix support we have a handful of artists from New York this time around, their names will look familiar to those who checked out our Winter Compilation from earlier this year. Raul opens the release with Anubis. Thick, chunky beats push the track along with subtle synths creating a bed and dubbed out plucks to accentuate the arrangement. Subtle and yet refined all the same. Raul teams up with Martin Zambrano once again on Humanshout. A hypnotic, drug induced groove open the track and doesnt let up, never getting too high nor too low, just locking you in from start to finish. Raul starts to show a bit of his funkier side on Unknown 001. Sparkling synths and a bouncy bassline up the track up and lays a solid foundation for the track. Dubbed out synths are abound, peaking their head in and disappearing before you have a moment to realize they were even there. After the breakdown, the synths just open up and wash over you while the groove doesnt stop or rest. Unknown 002 is deep house workout, with a soft bassline chugging along and a drum groove inspired by those classic 808 sounds weve come to love and cherish. Wide, smooth pads surrounds the track and lull you in before the main riff is drops in and the whole track takes on a whole new dimension. The remix round starts off with Noble take on Anubis. Stripped down to its core, Nobles remix is minimalism as its best. Strong, refined beat and powerful synths push the track from start to finish while still keeping it fun and bouncy. Submarine Vibes label boss Hibrid lends his creative talents with his remix of Humanshout. Taking the signature sounds and riffs from the original, Hibrid beefs everything up and make it big and wider with a stripped down chunky groove and a smart arrangement that spotlights all the best parts from the original. Kike Mayor takes Unknown 001 and just adds a tone of push and drive to it. Monolithic in his approach, Kike Mayors understanding and knowledge of groove and what moves a dance shines front and center here. With a deep, throbbing bassline and shakers that push the track along without ever going over the top, Kike Mayors remix will be destroying dance floors all summer long. St. Xose wraps up the release with his remix of Unknown 002. Its all about the relentless, hypnotic groove and atmosphere on this one. A rubbery bassline creates the building blocks for the remix, with spaced out synths playing over top and punctuating the arrangement. The drums never relent, but are laid back all the same, helping you pace yourself for the long night to come.
