Church of the Lazy Bastards hail from the outskirts of Cleveland, Ohio. They use the strumming of an acoustic guitar, the plucking of an old Telecaster, some amazing mandolin, a stand up bass & a stipped down drum kit to produce a cross between bluegrass and a turn-of-the-century style country. Old school country the way Hank Sr. or Johnny Cash used to play, but with a dark lyrical sense like Hank III is famous for. Their sound has been compared to ramblings of old revivals that surround the southern Baptist churches of the Mississippi delta. RVGNOISE found Church of the Lazy Bastards, put them into a recording studio, and "Deviant Life" was born. Snake handlers and Evangelists beware....
