简介
"It started back in the third grade. I remember my teacher giving me a library pass so I could find some books and climb up the ladder that led to the schools reading loft. It was a place where kids could go bury their noses and cut their teeth on works that were not to be found on the classroom shelves. It was there that I began to grow fond of poetic works of Shel Silverstein and Where's Waldo. (Maybe a little more of "A Light in the Attic," if Waldo was easily identifiable." Growing up with a mother who found music at the center of her universe it was just as easy for Taylor to have the same core. After a more than brief childhood and some education he moved to Nashville, TN in the spring of 2001. It was in Nashville where Taylor began to really hone into his craft as a singer/songwriter. With mentors pushing him to the works of established songwriters; Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, John Prine, Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, Tom Petty, Neil Young, and Van Morrison seemed to be the ones that Taylor chose to model himself after. "I always wanted to be a great songwriter, so I listened to the greats. I wanted to take a John Steinbeck book and put it to song. It's always been the writing first for me." With years of added experience, Taylor has found himself in a world of more than talented musicians as well as songwriters who continue to help push the limits of creativity within his songwriting.
