As a Renaissance man of music, L.D. doesn't let himself be constrained by genre, but instead focuses on carving out his own definition of his music. L.D. has an appreciation for music in all forms and extends his passion to hip-hop, neo-soul, r&b, pop and gospel, among others. Above all, he's driven to make the music that fits his creative styling, and that has purpose. It is music that he credits as his positive influence, and it's with this mindset that he creates every note and every line of his work. L.D. draws inspiration from his Southern roots where growing up he was immersed in every type of music imaginable. This experience taught him to always be sure his music is grounded in thought-provoking conversations, and that it has the power to influence spirituality, growth, and unity in all who listens. His most powerful influence in his work is The Most High, who he refers to as his “self-proclaimed manager.” L.D. often says it's MORE than music and he's More than an artist.
