One of the Northwest's newest hip hop up and comers, independent hip-hop artist iTZ Jaaken plans and continues to reach newer and higher goals. In Spokane, opening up for acts such as IAMSU! at the venue formerly known as the center, Jackie Chain and A-Plus from heiroglyphics at the Red Room Lounge and Ras Kass at The Hop! iTZ Jaaken intends on taking his talents to a bigger market such as Seattle and Portland. Influenced largely on mid 90's hip-hop as well as other non hip-hop genres, iTZ Jaaken has been able to develop more than one unique style. Formerly with the hip-hop collective "Soundcast", most releases had a general 90s vibe that earned the respect of the truer hip-hop heads around town. iTZ Jaaken was also Featured on Friend and fellow Artist D.E.V.I.'s LP "Dev-N-the-Dudes." Now, completing his solo Debut LP "Sorry Bout Your Luck" iTZ Jaaken intends on switching to more of a new school sound with the hopes of attracting a younger generation of hip hop fans and lyric lovers alike. Tracks on the debut include "Supposed to be you" a ten year story about a lost love, and "Fame Junkie" a song about the desire to finally make it to the big time, and the lifestyle that comes with it. "Sorry Bout Your Luck" will be released digitally in the winter of 2014, with hard copies just beyond the new year.
