简介
The main idea behind this album is to capture the trials and tribulations one goes through in the search for love. It also seeks to express the inner turmoil that one may have while finding their way in life. The first song on the album, "Make Her Mine (originally called love and war)," was written about a man willing to do anything to win the affections of his love interest. I wrote this while struggling to win the affections of a special lady. "Lonely Hearts," is a song about a person wanting to break free from deep depression, although finding it considerably difficult to overcome their own thoughts and emotions. The third track on the album, "Just Friends," is the classic story of someone getting stuck in the, "friend zone." I actually wrote this song about the same girl as, "Make Her Mine," after becoming, "friend zoned." The final track on the album, "This Life," was written during a time when I was working several jobs while going to school and getting less than 3 hours of sleep a day. One day while making my way home after playing a gig I was so tired that I actually got lost for a period of time. Instead of panicking I took the extra time it took to get home to think about my life and the path I'd chosen (that being a music career). By the time I got home I had come to terms with myself and my chosen career path.
