Guitarist Mike Hoffmann’s music can best be described as a “hybrid of influences with a jazz sensibility.” His appreciation of great music regardless of the idiom has allowed him to assimilate many styles into a cohesive voice. Possessing great technique and a gift for improvisation, Mike always strives for a fresh approach. Mike’s professional career has led him to TV, film and performances around the world. His credits include touring & recording with John Handy, Tony Williams, Solomon Burke, Ed Mann, Bob Ezrin, 11 Volt Sketches, Ruben Blades and his current band Bad Haggis (www.badhaggis.com) His debut solo CD “Wild Rumors” is comprised of 5 original compositions. With his use of layered guitars, the arrangements display a wide tonal palate. Mike’s ability to coax cutting edge sounds from his instrument make for a unique listening experience.
