"Pockets" is a collection of old-standbys such as "Happy And You Know It", plus kid-pleasing originals written by Zamenes, who is also a music teacher at local preschools. A graduate of California State University, San Francisco, Zamenes has been performing in grown-up bands for years. When he began playing at local farmer's markets, the kids were particularly drawn to his music, so he started incorporating more children's songs into his sets. "I have always believed that children have an inherent connection to music that can only be weakened by lack of exposure.", he says.
