"someone told me that what we do is Americana , well , thats all right with me"......Mr.E(songwriter;) "a mystery is something of which we know that it is ,it's just that we don't know how it is".....unknown "out of all of life's Mr.E's , there is only one, mystery (songwriter).......me too ;) april 18 2007 Mr.E(songwriter) & the totally obscure band's song "winds of war " has been selected to be part of neil young's project of gathering protest songs on his "living with war" protest songs on Neil Young's website www.neilyoung.com/lwwtoday/index.html april 14 2007 Mr.E(songwriter) & the totally obscure band performed at a benefit concert for the hospeace house in naples new york , along with other local artists Maria Gillard , Lisa Bigwood , Tom Farley , Laurie Leenhouts , John Dennison , june 20 2006 Congratulations Mr.E(songwriter) And The Totally Obscure Band! Listeners on American Idol Underground have rated your song (somedays) among the top 50 tracks in the Country genre during the previous week. See your place on the charts by clicking here. See you on the site, The American Idol Underground Team Get Your Music Heard! www.idolunderground.com june 15th 2006 Northeast In-Tune magazine With music ranging the entire musical gamut, from Country and western to Alternative, Mr. E (songwriter) and the totally obscure band have achieved what very few bands have ever attempted. With seven albums in their repertoire their success is obvious. They have preformed in numerous venues and achieved many accommodations including three ASCAP Plus Awards for the 2004/2005 period for domestic writers. Their unique Dylan-esque vocals and beautiful music make for a unique blend of composition. In “Christmas Time” the joy of one day’s effect on people and the world as a whole is rejoiced in tender loving lyrics. “Ever been lonely” is a bluesy heartbreak song with fabulous harmonica and guitar riffs. “It’s all about me” has a country flavor with a little blues background to flavor the narcissistic lyrics. “Mourn for the City” is reminiscent of some of U2’s sad introspection about the human condition. The variety of genres that Mr. E (Songwriter) and the totally obscure band touch on makes their music unique and definitive. Though little is know about the individual members of Mr. E (Gregg Christiansen; guitars, keyboards, vocals, Michael Ryan; rhythm guitar, harmonica and vocals, Richard Ord; bass guitar, percussion and vocals, Rolfe Newton; drums and percussion) their musical value is obvious. Aside from the ASCAP Plus awards they have also achieved a tribute on www.EBANDS.com for their moving song “Winds of War” (a tribute to the soldiers over seas), and varied invitations to perform at multinational concerts. A stunning set of musical ambassadors destined for great things. reviewed by Kathleen Sharkey Northeast In-Tune magazine june 15th 2006 Mr.E(songwriter)'s vacation song is now available as a ringtone at isound.com/mresongwriter All of Mr.E (songwriter) & the totally obscure bands songs have been digitized and are now available at your favorite digital download site ie: apple itunes june 5 2006 Mr.E(songwriter) & the totally obscure band's hit album "Just Country" is now at number 61 in the top 100 albums chart on ITunes JAPAN and rising april 15,2006 Mr.E(songwriter) & the totally obscure band 's song "ever been lonely" gets honorable mention in 13th annual BILLBOARD WORLD SONG CONTEST 2005... Mr.E/T.O.B. "ever been lonely?" the only country blues song I ever wrote , again featuring the harp of the "beast" , featured on garageband's "track of the day" blues front page oct.2004 , made it to number two on a top 100 chart on mp3songs.org.uk , also in october 2004 oh well....Mr.E/T.O.B. "diner song" is about when I was hanging out in the "rooms".....Mr.E/T.O.B. "freight train" is a train song w/guest guitarist Tony Martino/Mr.E/T.O.B. "truck driver song" featured on garageband.com country front page 2004 won several awards , including track of the day. I wrote it on my way to nashville , ain't got there yet...Mr.E/T.O.B. "somedays" is a song of hope"...Mr.E/T.O.B. "is it in your heart" is a song which was written to Elisabeth , (one of the two sisters) , and is part of a trilogy in song , the other songs are "Bozanna" and "Henry Lowry" you can find them on "Planet E" and the "Tall Ships". "Bozanna" is written in 5 languages the loving tongues of Latin , French , Spainish , English ,and the title in Polish showing the universitality of it's theme of love. the trilogy is about these 5 different women from all over the world ended up crossing paths with me . Each of the 5 inspired a line or two each toward the song. The five women whom are involved names are Mary the most famous mother of them all , who got the ball rolling , Elisabeth and her sister Elenora were from Germany , and have since gone back , and who turned out to be Henry's long lost daughters , Bozanna was from Poland , her name and the title of the song means "God's Given" in polish , she left in a hurry , then I met Amanda who appeared out of nowhere , her name fit phonetically ...poetically speaking... her beauty inspired 3 lines of the song bringing it to it's end. The third song in the trilogy is "Henry Lowry", he was from St. Croix , he was Elisabeth's and Elenora's long lost father who they searched the world to find and a good friend of mine. I gotta thank the totally obscure band , for all the fine musicianship he did on this one and all the rest of the songs he performs on ....Mr.E/T.O.B. "comes in the morning"... a little song written around 4:20 a.m. featuring Rick Van Fleet on guitar/Mr.E/T.O.B. special thanks to all the great talent who make these things happen I guess that's it for now , hope you enjoy the songs , hope they make ya smile........ later
