Originally from Mexico city, evolved and moved first to the south of Mexico - in Chiapas, then Oaxaca and then to the USA bay area to form part of the bass scene in San Francisco, California - releasing his first EP in 2010 as Nahuatl Sound System - "La Resistencia EP" which included 4 tracks that attracted attention worldwide from different musical audiences: high-tech electronica, dub styles, glitch hop, aztek rhythms, underground techno, hip hop, global bass and cumbia. Which has been labeled as a strong clash between folklore and future music. Soon after the release of "La Resistencia", Fernando Perez AKA Nahuatl Jaguar relocated back in Melbourne Australia, taking the project to a next level. Collaborating with local and international artists from diverse backgrounds - always combining folklore with futuristic musical styles. Released 4 more, totally independent EPs since 2010. These EPs include original productions, also recorded with guest musicians invited; including the horns of navarone ensemble (vibraphonik orkestra), Henry Pena (madre monte), andre lobanov (papachango, labjacd), Alejandro Espino (sin frontera) and not only with musicians but with other top producers from different parts of the world, remixing Nahuatl soundsystem productions.
