The Hyperion Duo, known for their artistic expression and technical mastery, is committed to spreading joy with their music through offering engaging performances to a variety of audiences and producing recordings of original and traditional music. “Hyperion Duo: for Flute and Harp” includes Classical favorites performed with a thoughtful and eloquent approach.

The Hyperion Duo was formed by flutist, Gina Luciani, and harpist, Charissa Barger, at the Colburn Conservatory of Music in 2008. Since then, the Duo has performed exclusively for concerts, events, and recordings. During their time at the Colburn Conservatory, they performed under the instruction of flutist, Jim Walker, and harpist, JoAnn Turovsky. Their collaboration continued while obtaining their Master of Music Performance Degree at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music. The Hyperion Duo takes its name from the Greek god of light and the name of the Los Angeles street, “Hyperion Avenue,” reflecting the Duo’s limitless potential and loyalty to Los Angeles.
