简介
Getting ready for a transcontinental flight, a cruise, a road trip or an afternoon on the Shinkansen? Whether by car, boat, train or plane, Room Keys has been lauded by some listeners as "great traveling music." Primarily recorded in hotel rooms across North America in 2008, Room keys was created and produced away from home while on tour with other artists. Uh used his spare time to record most of the tracks and did the editing on long bus rides. "Not only was this recorded in a variety of locales, but this release differs from ‘HEHHEH,’” according to Uh. “An organic approach was used this time. There are more live instruments - acoustic guitar, percussion, live drums, bass and keyboards on some of the songs. I had a goal to abandon this by the end of January 2009, which forced me to get things right the first time.” Other artists featured in this release are the legendary James Gadson, who played drums on “Walking Down Newland” and Damien Erwin on V-Drums, Percussion and Guitar on several tracks. Final touches on the mixing were performed at Eneonycity in Los Angeles. Mastering was done at Abbey Road Studios, London. "This album was a result of inspiration and experiences from life on the road," adds Uh. "As it was made in many places, my hope is that it also takes the listener many places." The next time you are downloading your itinerary, printing your boarding pass or filling up your tank before the long ride, remember to have your copy of Room Keys with you or loaded into your MP3 player. And if you are not traveling anywhere soon but want a quick escape, relax, lay back, close your eyes and enjoy the journey of Room Keys. We promise to have you back in about 40 minutes.
