David Wall was born in Winston Salem, NC and after several other stops, his family ended up in Chattanooga, TN. As a youngster, 8 years old, he became interested in music and started singing around the house. His parents were impressed so they found him a music teacher. Those lessons were short lived as the family moved to Huntsville, Alabama. It was there David met the famous Alton Delmore, of the Delmore Brothers. Thrilled by the presence of Alton, David's interest in music peaked. Events in his life lead him on to the year 2016. It was then, David finished his first gospel song, and had the good fortune of singing his song in his hometown church. Again, fires of songwriting started burning brightly. Locating other songwriters, he was encouraged to write for the love of the trade. He did. We thought the song, A Memory In Every Note, written by David Wall and George Wells, would be a exciting song for David's first release. Songs are so related to our past. Everyone remembers songs for their own reasons. Like landmarks, these songs hold the memories of our most favorite events. Those musical memories live with us forever. We depend on these songs even though they will call up a few tears. It is a wonderful stroll down memory lane with the notes and words we love to hear. How blessed we are to have music to hold the memories for us. To give David a good starting point, we used the arranging and mixing abilities of studio owner Billy Teichmiller. He brought in some of Huntsville's best music talent. Tim Spivey on the guitar, Dean Lusk on the keyboard and Michael Cline on the bass. Back up vocals were added by Hershey Reeves. I am sure you will be pleased with his talents. And the final touches was added by Donny Carpenter, the premier studio violinist from the famed Muscle Shoals area. He knew where the tears should start. The song is dedicated to Barbara Wells, the wife of George Wells. George and Barbara shared 58 wonderful years. Barbara had a long illness and on September 12, 2016 God took her to His resting place. And her long battle with pain was over. the back up vocals were added by the premiere back up vocalist in Huntsville, Hershey Reeves. Give a special listen for the talents of these two professionals.
