简介
This is the first mixed album recorded which contains the poems of Hafez, Rumi, Ahli-e Shirazi. These poems have been carefully chosen to express the concept of love through the beautiful tune of the Persian language blended together with the mixture of East and Western music. A new method of reading Persian poems is introduced by Bahman Solati whose field of study is Persian literature and he is currently conducting a PhD research on the poetic language of Hafez at the University of Manchester. These eight tracks have been produced and recorded at the University of Manchester for the school of Arts, Histories and Cultures. The main intention on producing these CDs have been purely educational and was originally intended to be used for departmental purposes, but the success of these tracks has opened a new commercial view and the continuous demand of the enthusiasts of Persian poetry has been a great encouragement for producing further new albums. We also would like to thank Bahman Solati for his passion and ambition without which these productions would not have been possible. With thanks The University of Manchester RT Some words by: Bahman Solati We are spiritual beings trapped in this world. Our true place is not on this Earth, we belong to the Heavens, and the soul is a drop away from the ocean of love, i.e. the lover of all lovers the beloved of all beloveds; the fountain of love is the ultimate creator of all, and the designer of all the stars and the universe. This beloved is referred to as Salma (Beloved) by Hafez and Mashooqey-e rooh (The Beloved of the Soul) by Rumi and many other names by many other poets. All of the spiritual and mystical poets of Persia have in one way or another tried to the best of their abilities to express the concept of love through the fictive force of poetry and make it comprehensible for their readers. Rumi is one of the greatest spiritual teachers of mankind and his advice and words of wisdom open new windows to spirituality and self-realization. These CDs have been carefully chosen to express such feelings and words; therefore, those individuals who truly understand the meanings and feel the flow together with the richness of the utterance are the ones taking the first steps towards understanding the ultimate and the true love. I have read these poems with the utmost love and passion that I have for them and feeling the richness of the articulations these classical poets have so hard tried to transmit to all of us.
