Nowadays was born in a basement at the Jersey Shore as an instrumental shoegaze project. As we started taking the band more seriously, a style emerged where seemingly different genres like emo, pop, and alt rock were brought together to make a distinct sound. After recording some DIY EP's and playing lots of local shows, Nowadays spent this Summer touring the east coast of the US. We also took time this Summer to record this single at Drexel Studios in Philadelphia. We look up to and draw influence from a wide variety of bands: emo bands like Foxing, Tiny Moving Parts, and Marietta, guitar pop bands like Hippo Campus and Mac Demarco, and old school Alt Rock like Smashing Pumpkins, Dinosaur Jr., and Sonic Youth.
