In between composing songs for Cartoon Network’s Clarence, Simon Panrucker has been working hard to complete his new rap album Hello My Name Is Simon Panrucker. As the follow up to 2009’s Smells Like Rap, listeners should expect defiantly delivered novelty rap, explosion fueled turbo-pop, and tongue in cheek fun for everyone (even jerks).

Inspired by musicians and producers such as Beck, Chilly Gonzales and Luke Vibert, Simon has frequently been compared to comedy duo Flight of the Concords. Having honed his comedic musical style as a teenager and university student, Simon has recently been concentrating on live performance - developing an infectiously energetic madcap style. Hello My Name Is Simon Panrucker takes the energy and humour of Panrucker’s live shows and traps it in an electric cage to enjoy at a whim. While often lyrically complex about absurd or mundane subjects, Simon’s songs are always anchored with a catchy melody to hook right into his audience’s music brain.
