mamacoca’s secrets mamacoca, then known as project:three, began as a writing project of Adam Sinclair, James Peacock and f’reez, supported by eegluu:records. Two months and two songs later, as Graham Sinclair and Edd Carr jammed with them for another venture, mamacoca made her case to be borne instead. So strong was the sense of chemistry that it prompted a decision, that very night, not just to form a 5-piece, but to also go for the kill with recording a full-length album. This was January 2007. And so it continued as the five talents, with a cumulative total of 77 years of live stage experience in 7 countries, drew emotions and connections from Herbie Hancock to India Arie to Led Zeppelin and back to Stevie Wonder, to write and produce a funky union of Soul and Jazz. This was March 2007. Bursting with enthusiasm, the mamacoca boys announced this arrival onto the recording scene with tunes still evolving with their moods, reminiscent of their forms on stage. And how they toiled their bodies and minds for weeks upon weeks with one purpose. As each song moulded into form, gems of stories crystallized within them, culminating in a product of familiar distinction. This was May 2007. Their ‘Secrets’ are now to be told.
