In early June 2012, singer/songwriters Darla Day and John McCracken won the "I Love BG" song contest and got to sing their song live at a packed Hot Rods baseball game. Their song "I Can Dream (I Love Bowling Green)" was chosen out of 48 entries to become the official "anthem" for the city of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Bowling Green is home to the Corvette Manufacturing Plant, the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center (SKyPAC) and the Hot Rods Baseball Team.
