简介
This Album was written in two years, a period between bands, and between styles. The intention here is to take the instrumental rock to a new level of freedom for the composer and for the listener. All of the recordings were done at my home studio, without worrying of record companies or band mates, and also with the idea in mind of "working with what you have" that being, talent, equipment and time. The inspiration for some of the melodies and themes that conform the songs came by everyday events and emotions, Tadaima (Japanese for I'm home) for example, is a piece that I wrote for my daughters, and Father's Legacy is about my Dad, my Brother, and My Lord Jesus Christ. Some songs have been in my head for quite some time, some others came in the spur of the moment, and others I had to quit working on them because the first take was the best. Playing live this songs it's a challenge, not in the technical sense (although some are) but in the emotional sense, some are difficult to get the mood settled for, and others are just too much fun to play... The tile "A New Perspective" came to me while thinking of what I wanted to accomplish with this album, and that is a new perspective on the instrumental rock, on the fans and myself. I do hope you enjoy it and find some emotional connection with this work... go ahead don't be shy... dive into it.
