The Avro Arrow 1954-1959

In response to the threat posed by Soviet nuclear bombers, Canada developed the Avro Arrow. It was the most innovative and sophisticated airplane of its day. On Feb 20th, 1959 the Avro Arrow program was cancelled. One of the most advanced airplanes to ever fly was scrapped and destroyed -- along with the dreams of a nation.
