Sacramento, CA's Giant Squid debuted in 2005 with a self-released CD entitled Metridium Field, which was produced by Billy Anderson (Neurosis, Melvins, High on Fire, etc.) and attracted the attention of The End Records with its unconventional combination of doom, indie, progressive, and psychedelic rock.
