Nebojsa Buhin Nebo Croatian-born guitarist, compose & plays instrumental music, combining pop-rock with blues & jazz. Nebo is born 1971. in Bjelovar, Croatia. He got his first guitar from a friend when he was 13. Although without formal musical education he started playing guitar in Bjelovar Big Band in 1990. From Big Band soon emerge septet Sigma Jazz Band and the band wins first price on "Spring jazz festival competition" in Zagreb, Croatia in 1992. From 1998-1999. Nebo is playing guitar for the most popular Croatian pop female singer Danijela Martinovic (5th in “Eurosong 98”); more than 120 concerts, including TV recordings with orchestra etc. 1999. First promo CD called “Babe” is recorded; includes 4 instrumental tracks. Same year Nebo moves to Hamburg, Germany, where he works as a studio musician, recording mostly for Eddy Christoffer´s “Adagio Productions”. Collection of songs they made together is available on mini CD “Signs” (2003.). In 2001. Nebo plays for German singer Inusa (“Morning Light”). Nebo played on his 2 CDs - “Pharaoh Style” and “Rain or shine”. Second CD “10 Guitar Stories” was released for 2nd major record company in Croatia, “Dallas Records”, in 2003. The accompanying band called “The Downstrokes” was assembled from some of the best Croatian musicians: Damir Somen – drums, Alen Svetopetric – bass, Gojko Tomljanovic – keyboards, Borna Sercar – percussion. CD contains 10 instrumental tracks including cover version of S. Winwood's “Can’t find my way home”. Two video clips are made for a songs “New shoes” and “Healing touch”. New CD “Guitar Language” is released in 2007.It contains 9 instrumental and one vocal track. Musician credits include Bobo Grujicic, Zlatan Doslic, Robert Vrbancic, Goran Kovacic, Dimitar Bozikov, Marko Ramljak, Ricardo Luque...CD is produced by best known Croatian producer Niksa Bratos (worked with Manu Katche, Pino Palladino, Tony Levin..). Linear note on CD is taken from the book "Blues Lessons" with kind permission of the author Robert Hellenga. Nebo received 3 “Status Awards” (“Croatian musician union” award) as the “most prominent guitarist in the category pop, rock music” (2003, 2005, 2006.). 2004. He received special award from “Mega muzika”, authorized dealer of “Fender musical instruments” for East Europe. Currently Nebo plays guitar for several Croatian artist, including singer Jacques Houdek who performed in August 2006. as a support act for “Simply Red” in Pula, Croatia. Nebo also works as a studio musician and plays regularly on Croatian Television.
