"This Moment" is Lisa Michelle's third studio release. In 2011, she simultaneously released "Love Lessons", a sweet, jazzy Neo-soul album and "Rebound" a decidedly bolder and more adventurous sound, presenting her smooth vocals on radio-ready R&B instrumentals. For this project, Lisa Michelle crowned Juno-nominated artist and record producer Solitair as executive producer, and let the sparks fly. Together they created 6 of the 8 tracks on "This Moment" spanning themes of chemistry (as heard on the tracks "Cross My Mind" and "Let's Ride"), common misconceptions ("Smile") and celebrating where you are right now ("This Moment"). The last track on the album,"Give Me Something" was written by Lisa Michelle and keyboardist Mike McNeil (who frequently plays in the band at her live performances). With nothing but keys and vocals, you can hear how strongly Lisa Michelle is influenced by Jazz music and her favourite artist Jill Scott. The song "Gravity" (from the "Rebound" EP), appears as a bonus track on "This Moment" as a special gift to fans who are being introduced to her music for the first time.
