Yo, We (Apotheosis) just completed the recording of our first single together called "Burn It Down". The song really has a lot of depth to it, but if looked at the wrong way could be misconstrued as militant or judgemental. The song encompasses neither of those traits nor do we as individuals. "Burn It Down" is explicit though. I got the initial vibe and concept when I was researching and praying about a certain movie. I feel very strongly against not only this movie but also against a trend that is inevitable and becoming increasingly common. The trend is a Harsh and Fierce view of the concept of a true God and his believers. The biggest problem I have with the movie is that it targets the purest form of man (children) with dark ideas. If any parents or guardians take their children to see the movie without knowing the intent behind the story ahead of time, they will be subjecting their children to deception and confusion unnecessarily. Look I can not stop evil from happening and my intent is not to go on a militant crusade against everything in the media either. I do however have a deep burden for this area (mass media) because it is very influential and is a huge part of most people's life. It is very easy to be subjected to darkness, whether driving and seeing a beautiful woman consuming alcohol on a billboard, or taking in negative language in a cartoon. I simply recognize and acknowledge that Satan has strategic means by which he deceives. He's good at it, I mean he's been doing it for over 6,000 years. How easy is it to disguise such a dark theme of "killing God" behind masks of children's characters and majestic voices. This is the very essence of deception and inevitably people succumb to it because it is disguised so well. Here is the deal. While we can not burn down every strong hold in this world we can burn down the strong holds in our own lives. We can also spread "Truth" in an effort to empower others to recognize and burn down their own strong holds. "Truth has made you free". We must also refute lies from the false prophets not with anger, but again with "Truth" What is this "Truth"? The truth is that there is a Living God. One who cares about individuals. Not a god portrayed falsely as the tyrant. The living God came as a lamb to be slain in order to keep us from that very fate. The name Jesus is not a word that should be identified with bondage as the movie would have you believe. Of course the movie never comes right out and says it because that's how deception works. Deception is a disguise to creep into your life and create doubt. This is my stance, Satan will war but God will not die on my watch. Understand what I am saying please! God is eternal, but the knowledge and love for God lives only as long as we spread the good news of Christ's Death, Burial, and Resurrection. I am not stupid enough to believe that any being can kill God, but look at the lands where the love of God is not prevalent. I do not want our land to become Godless on my watch. Apotheosis: Means to exalt one as God. We wholeheartedly exalt Jesus. Peace: David "RockHead"
