I like to leave the full story up to individual interpretation, but this can give you all an idea about what is going on since there are no lyrics. Awakening: You wake up in an unknown world, and are immediately sent upon a dangerous and cryptic quest. Call of the Beast: On the first steps of your adventure, you fight your enemies with vigor and confidence, until your first encounter with one of the largest beasts you will ever see. Fear the Old Blood: As you travel through an abandoned cathedral, you reflect on the mistakes of your ancestors, realizing that they should have listened to the warnings of their teachers, and that The Old Blood was not for them to use. Burn: Taking a break from your main journey, you arrive upon the old city, which was destroyed in a murderous attempt to cleanse the beastly scourge that still ravages the world today. To the Sea: You take a long walk through the ruined woods, at last arriving at the catalyst of all the horrors you have already seen: the College. The moon shines down on the tranquil waters as you plunge deeper into your mission. Making Contact Pt. 1: Creation: After lifting the veil and revealing the secrets of the world, you begin to see what your ancestors tried to do to reach the gods. There were multiple schools of thought, and one of them was if you can't beat them, make them. Making Contact Pt. 2: The Cosmos: Rather than make a god all of their own, the church scholars decided to seek celestial guidance, and ended up making their problems worse. Nightmare Newborn: As if one awakening wasn't enough, you now find yourself in an even more horrendous world, filled with the souls of those too engrossed by the hunt. The Source: After all of your triumphs, you are finally granted the knowledge of how this world came to be. In the end, it will always be the fault of man. The Passing of the Night: Your journey ends where it began, with a battle against the one who you trusted most. After his defeat, you take a moment to rest, only to be interrupted by the arrival of a greater presence, not even of this world. At long last your foes have all fallen, and you are granted awakening once again.
