简介
“Grooves as infectious as a winter flu,” raves The Brooklyn Catheter. Squorts Mag proclaims, “The beats are so relentlessly defiant that your downstairs neighbors will be banging the ceiling with a broom.” For his debut musical effort, The Year In Review, Kagan presents a retro-future disco concept album, navigating the thematic waters of the New York art scene. Whether he’s emailing back and forth with a curator about a portfolio submission (“The Whitney Biennial Song”), recounting the dangers that lie in wait at Miami Art Basel (“Don Rubell Ran Me Over With His Limo”), or bemoaning the absence of the next big art movement to take hold of the world (“Post^5 Modern Tea Party”), his wry sense of humor is always in top form. Kagan is a multi-media performance artist based in NYC. His work has featured in exhibitions in New York, Chicago, London, Madrid, Seoul, among others.
